There are two options to access health care in Spain: going with the public health system (Insalud), free-of-charge and accessible to everyone, or opting for the private health care system. A large majority of Spaniards have chosen the Spanish public health care system. Every employee contributes to the Spanish public health care system. The private system, like in France, involves subscribing to a health insurance plan or contributing to a private insurer.
