On May 19th, the 12th edition of the Brokers’ Forum took place at the Swiss Tech Convention Center of the EPFL in Ecublens. Nearly 300 people, all from the insurance industry, attended the plenary sessions, conferences and workshops. A great way to network too.
Opal’s team had a stand and a workshop dedicated to the presentation of the company’s products and services.
Let’s take a look at this event with Laura and Rayan, Opal experts present at the Forum.
Why participate in this event – one more time – this year?
As you mentioned, the Forum is THE big meeting place for professionals in the sector, mainly insurance brokers and insurers. As an international insurance company offering unique services, we had to be there, in order to continue to make Opal known and to expand our network of partners.
With this in mind, this year we decided not only to have a stand, but also to host a 45-minute workshop entirely dedicated to the presentation of Opal.
You mention the importance of visibility and networking that such an event offers, are there other benefits to participate?
For those who already know us, I would say to consolidate the presence and the notoriety of our service. The stand, as well as the workshop, is also an opportunity to show new developments of the product, and to target different personas (prospects, customers, partners).
Meeting brokers with whom we already work is also very important. Taking the time to talk face to face is precious.
Finally, gaining new knowledge through the other workshops and conferences and seeing what the competition is doing allows us to take the temperature of an entire sector.
And from there, we can better position our brand, evaluate ourselves, and continue to evolve!
What is your assessment of this day?
An extremely positive assessment! In addition to the dozens of people we met on the stand and during the workshop, we strengthened our ties with the brokers present that day.
We also welcome the richness of the topics discussed in the plenary session (“LPP revision: will it be the right one?” and “Global warming: how will insurers and politicians cope?)
No doubt, the Opal team will sign for the next edition!
